After the highly successful release of 'Zach's Dream' by Stan's Trio comes the follow up album 'Seventy Something'. Another live recording, it features two concerts having been recorded at Caedmon Hall in Gateshead, and the Gateway Studios in Kingston. The album starts where the 'Zachs' left off with an amazing display, yet again, of Stan's genius and a remarkable document of the interplay between the trio. Stan has stuck to a selection of standards for this recording, breathing fresh vitality to songs such as 'Here's That Rainy Day' and 'There Is No Greater Love', as well as exploring his favoured piano players' compositions, those of Monk and Ellington. The sound quality even transends the exellance of the previous recording.
